| 'Vera' is a much altered SAIGA shotgun, a Russian, magazine fed, autoloading weapon. This prop was altered from an earlier alteration used in some other movie or TV show. (Posted on the official Firefly board.) I don't recall the name of the other show, but the picture showed the prop retained the original style curved magazine. 'Vera' has a straight magazine with the 'cartridges' sitting at an angle that would be impossible for the weapon to feed into the chamber. |
